By profession a professor of psychology, he currently works as an HR manager for the Research and Development sector at Pliva Croatia, which is part of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., and also serves as a Total Rewards partner for the SEE region (former Yugoslav countries). He began his career in the late 1990s in the field of market research, focusing on the development of market research instruments, statistical analysis, and the interpretation of results through the application of multivariate data analyses. In the early 2000s, he transitioned to Vipnet, where he worked as Head of Market Research, before quickly moving to Human Resources as Head of HR Systems and Processes. There, he was responsible for ensuring the execution of the company’s strategy through customized and structured processes and systems in the field of human resource management, such as defining, developing, and implementing compensation strategy and all its elements (salary systems, variable pay, benefits, etc.), defining, developing, and implementing performance management strategies (MBO, specific bonus systems; continuous and ad hoc), as well as designing and managing organizational design (job analysis, definition, and evaluation, developing and implementing a job family system, developing and managing organizational structure). After 12 years at Vipnet, he transitioned to Pliva, taking the position of Senior Manager of Compensation and Benefits Systems for Croatia and SEE countries. At Pliva, as part of the local HR team and the European Total Rewards team, for the past 9 years, he has been involved in developing and implementing the company’s salary and benefits systems, local and regional reward programs, adapting corporate compensation standards to local and regional conditions, and contributing to the development of European practices in the field of compensation.
