Dr. Goran Ivkić, MD, neurologist and neuroscientist at the Croatian Institute for Brain Research at the School of Medicine, University of Zagreb. As an instructor, he participates in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Croatian (Anatomy and Functional Anatomy of Humans and Fundamentals of Neuroscience) and in the English-language program (Fundamentals of Neuroscience) at the School of Medicine, University of Zagreb. As a clinician, he is a specialist neurologist – subspecialist epileptologist, working at the NEURON Polyclinic at the Croatian Institute for Brain Research, with a particular interest in epilepsy, headaches, stress, and psychosomatics. He has given numerous public lectures and made several media appearances on these topics.
SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS In addition to the aforementioned interests, his specific area of scientific interest is monitoring developmental changes in the vascular network of the human brain during intrauterine development. He is the author of several book chapters and a large number of indexed papers and articles in scientific and professional literature.
